Human Services Degree Programs
Human services is a generic term
for people with a wide array of job titles including human service worker, case management
aide, social work assistant, community support worker, mental health aide, community
outreach worker, life skill counselor, or gerontology aide.
A career in human services largely involves working with the disadvantaged. Your
field of study would combine social work, psychology, public policy and health.
Today, most people entering the field have a bachelor's degree, though it is still
possible to find work without one. In order to increase pay and responsibility, however,
many human services practitioners use vocational schools and night courses to increase
their eligibility for advancement.
